Alive With the Dead –
A Fly on the Wall with a Camera
I am down to about 25 of my photo memoir of the Grateful Dead filled with band images + stories, from the ’80s on. The limited first edition (the second printing of this edition is almost sold out) is a 256 page hardcover coffee table book in a clothbound slipcase. Mickey Hart wrote the foreword. In addition to the images of the band onstage where we all loved them, the bulk of the book contains previously unpublished images with a fresh insider perspective on the guys offstage, the touring party and the extended family. I was most alive when I was Alive with the Dead have loved sharing it with you in this book.
Here’s an excerpt from BILL WALTON’S review:
“To float, graze, browse, immerse and meld through and in this exquisite, life-affirming work of art, is really your all-access laminated back-stage pass to the intimate history, inner circle, culture, world and lives of the Grateful Dead—as only they have led.
ALIVE WITH THE DEAD is a deluxe and celebratory package of joy, happiness, and the highs and lows of life with the Grateful Dead, on and off the stage. It’s the collector’s edition story in vibrant pictures and delectable text of the people, places, things and events that mean everything to us—to this day, and forever more.”
